Founded in 2013 as a spin-off from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, Houselab was established with a clear mission: to transform building design and foster innovation across the construction industry. Since its inception, the company has been at the forefront of integrated building rehabilitation management, delivering multidisciplinary expertise and developing advanced technological solutions that enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity throughout the construction process.
Over the years, we have expanded our engineering expertise beyond its original focus on building restoration to encompass architectural and specialist engineering design for both historic and contemporary buildings. This evolution has enabled us to deliver integrated, high-quality design solutions that minimise errors, improve coordination, and streamline both the design and construction processes.
At the same time, we continue to strengthen and expand our project development department, leveraging advanced production systems with a particular focus on prefabricated and modular construction.
